ABOUT THE AUTHOR |
FOREWORD BY JOHN WRIGHT, M.D.: I suppose that everyone has a turning point in their career when some startling
change takes place which inspires and stimulates a new wave of
thought and a different exciting change of direction, This important
moment occurred for me in November 1985 when I attended a seminar
given by Prof. Steven Rochlitz in Melbourne, Australia.
At that time of my 12 year medical career in General Practice, I was
puzzled and frustrated by some of the inadequacies of my conventional
medical teaching in dealing with a significant number of patients.
Those who supposedly had nothing wrong with them for all blood
tests, X-rays, C.A.T. scans, etc., were normal yet they were
not well and the patient knew it. And then there were those who
had been told they will never be cured and that they must take
drug therapy for the rest of their lives.
How exciting then to be taught a new technique that could demonstrate
that their bodies were totally out of balance and therefore they
were sick. The delight on the faces of patients is heartwarming,
for it vindicates their belief that something is wrong with their
bodies and that someone realizes their predicament and can show
their illness to them. Even more rewarding is the ability to
offer help in a positive way, for by following the technique
of Steven Rochlitz in balancing the body, the patient's system
is readjusted so that it can start to function normally again
and so give it the ability to help cure itself.
No two balances are the same, as no two bodies are similar, and no two
bodies become out of balance in the same way so each balance
is a challenge and becomes a very personalized form of therapy,
specific to each patient. After a balance is achieved, and if
a good diet is maintained and medication is kept to the absolute
minimum (or in most cases stopped), the results are quite stunning.
In my practice, over the past six months, I have been able to
achieve some notable successes and even cures.
Some patients after a total balance have ceased all anti-hypertensive
therapy and remained normotensive, have ceased antidepressants,
hypnotics, sedatives, and remained happy, have ceased diuretics
and remained well, have recovered from asthma, hay fever, food
allergies, irritable bowel symptoms, arthritis, vertigo, learning
disorders, fatigue and eczema. They have regrown hair, regained
concentration, have regained normal menstrual cycles, have lost
weight, have performed better at sports and most regained energy,
happiness and vitality. This balance will not cure all illness
and is not the total panacea for problems but without the balance
the body will not have a chance to heal itself.
With this book, the reader will now be able to overcome all the complaints
I have outlined above. As for my medical colleagues, I hope in
time the profession will accept Rochlitz' balancing methods and
that they can be taught to all keen and enthusiastic medical
students. In this way, many costs of drug therapy can be saved,
many patients will feel better and remain well, and the doctor
will be able to treat the illness and prevent its reoccurrence
rather than treat, retreat, retreat, retreat and retreat. Thank
you Steve for your inspired work.
